Nuts and Bolts

This is the blog for Mark Stern's EDUC 210: Education For Peace and Non-Violence class at Colgate University.  Each student will be responsible for making one guiding post over the course of the semester and comment six times on other posts. (In other words, and in terms of points, guiding posts will count as 4 pts., comments will count as 1 pt.)

For those of you who are doing the guiding posts for the day, your posts should be approximately 500-750 words.  These posts should not summarize the readings, but be a critical engagement with the texts.  You should be speaking within and back to various tropes and questions we have been thinking about over the course of the semester.  As you will also be responsible for playing a vocal role in class for that day, you might want to posit questions to your classmates that the readings bring up.  Please feel free, if you have the know-how, to embed links, photographs, and video.

Comments to these posts should range between 250-350 words.  They should directly speak back to the posts and the texts.

Even if you are not a posting or commenting for that day, I expect that you will have read this blog before class.

Schedule:
